(Aren't you glad I didn't start the subject title with "Hello"?)

Anyway, I'm Hat (and yes, people actually do call me that in real life, it's a widespread nickname among my peers). I'm a high school senior that's completely obsessed with computers, especially security. I readily help friends' out with their computer problems and take pleasure in crushing the spyware that's run rampant on their systems. Sadly, most people in my age group know nothing of computer security, and, to make it worse, most of them use unprotected P2P all the time, *shudders*. Besides computers, I love reading, writing, and sleeping.

And, well, that's about it.

Welcome! I have 2 siblings in high school that are like you described Wink

. Except for the p2p part, I put a stop to that! But all the rest is there, IMing, blogging, know little about their PC security Confused

. Fortunately the only big malware they caught so far is Lop, thank heavens I found this site and started learning before they had the chance to get some of the newer stuff!

We had a Lop nurse back when I was in high school, used to come in twice a year.
