Hi its me again and unfortunately not just dropping in for a chat, Crying or Very sad

i installed sp2 a few days ago every thing was fine at first but now when i boot up i get an error message that windows cant start because of a missing or corrupt file, its system 32/drivers/tcpip.sys
any help solving this problem would be great, as i am not a happy person it was hell getting this thing up and running today.

hello
try booting to safe mode uninstall service smack 2.
if it won,t let you do system restore.
if these don,t work try this.

thanks wawadave for the link and the help. Unfortunately this time after many hours going through files and folders and web sites and the microsoft site as well i had to admit defeat and take it to the shop to get it fixed as alot of other things started going wrong as well so i gave up on it Embarassed

not the attitude i know but when youve just done a clean install and things go wrong straight away well what can i say. Anyway thanks again for the help,Ive put that link you gave me into kfavouites incase i should need it some day. Heather.

sorry you quit too soon the repair install removes service pack 2!!!
lets hope you have better luck latter.
there is a 23% crash and burn rate after installing service smack 2!!!

Im guessing that you dont like microsoft very much, im starting to agree they are pains with all the updates and even then its not much better Confused

microsucks sold me windows m.e!! first black mark!
next they kept cutting back the size of my hotmail acount and closeing features and makeing it work very sickly!
than they closed chat used a lame exscuse that t would stop porn. i got the m.e computer to do chat!
now microsucks tweaks ie and windows in updates to make firefox work buggly that 4
no i don,t like them much at all.

and the way ie lets spyware over run things well i could go on and on like everyready bunny! lol

So if you hate [microsucks] so much what do use now instead of it or isnt there much choice out there.

i still use microsucks.but have linux as well. witch is getting more and more use!
as for writeing soft ware. with my dyslexia i could write code only fit for microsucks! lol
