Are they adding bank robbery to their resume? Evidently they've not been simply sitting around playing WoW during this somewhat hiatus.

Citigroup says everything is business as usual:

Granted we all know what happens when remarks get taken out of context (Mr. Eric Schmidt, would you care to comment...?), but still, this:
Quote:
''We had no breach of the system and there were no losses, no customer losses, no bank losses,'' said Joe Petro, the managing director of Citigroup's security and investigative services.
Seems rather contradictory to this:
Quote:
Instead, a spokesman said, the company is aware of one customer whose account was drained of more than $US1 million after being hacked.
Erm...if I were that customer, I would be defining that as a loss. _________________ - Datababe

Sounds like they are also testing new exploits if that is what else they are doing, because I am sure they are crashing computers just to try to find another security hole they can break in and Hijack it.

The RBN or whatever you want to call the criminal enterprise is quite large and at this point has probably broken off into different organisations or "spamgangs." I do not know much about its interworkings by any means, but there are researchers out there whose blogs can tell you much more. Examples: RBN Exploit or Sophos.
