My Dad died exactly one year ago today, this is for him.
Thirteen Seconds
Thirteen seconds of
3gp video on
An old mobile phone
Camera is all I
Have left of you today Dad,
It seems ironic
That you shot so much
Of me & the family
On your Super Eight.
Hours of home movies
Of holidays & air shows
All spliced together
Very carefully
from those yellow plastic spools
That had a strange smell.
I wish we could watch
Those flickering memories
