Firefox 3 crashes on exiting sometimes!

I have (as far as I know) completely exorcised RealPlayer from my computer. When I upgraded to Firefox 3 I noticed that occasionally on exiting the browser I got the 'crash' brake pad. I was advised to update my RealPlayer to RP 11. I did this & didn't notice the brake pad anymore (as I far as I know it didn't crash). Since I have removed RealPlayer from my computer both from the control panel & 3 subfolders from my C-Drive I am puzzled why I occasionally get the break pad. It may be out of date add ons/plug ins that are doing this. Does anyone have any idea what else might be causing this (if not plug ins)?

Has anyone else had this problem in Firefox?

Does anyone know how to disable the (crash) brake pad?
