This is indeed good news. As many Windoze users prefer XP to Vista. I have been using Vista daily for a number of months now and I can honestly say I would advise anyone NOT to "downgrade" to Vista. Although Vista does have some substantial improvements over XP, in some areas it does things worse than XP. For example with vista you can not a repair install by booting from the Vista DVD - it has to be done with vista loaded - which is of zero help if Vista won't boot! |

That's interesting -- I've actually seen a few new PCs offered with XP just recently and wondered how that happened. _________________ Former Microsoft MVP 2005-2009, Consumer Security

Vox populi.
If Microsoft is smart, they would simply establish XP as a permanent base program with continued support and pay for new products to help establish future compatibility. _________________ For this is the place

i run linux on 50% of computers. And spend that much or more time on linux.
Once i can get my two main windope programs to function fully under linux even xp will be replaced.
