| AOL's free Internet client software has earned the company a slap on the wrist from StopBadware.org, a consortium set up to combat malicious software. In a report released today, the group advises users to steer clear of the software because of its "badware behavior." The report blasts the free version of AOL 9.0 because it "interferes with computer use," and because of the way it meddles with components such as the Internet Explorer browser and the Windows taskbar. The suite is also criticized for engaging in "deceptive installation" and faulted because some components fail to uninstall... |

I don't like AOL at all.
The issue with Trillian and GAIM for me is MSN won't work. The other 2 are working fine. Any ideas on the MSN? Even tried the newest Live version of MSN. _________________ Graduate of Malware Removal University

When I tried to cancel them when my free 90 days that came with my pc expired, what a mess Their telemarketers are paid big commissions to keep you as a customer and use very high pressure tactics. They had me on the phone for an hour when I tried to cancel |

The paid program is just as bad. It is DEFINITELY malware and spyware. If I didn't have 10 years of emails I'd never use it again! But then again, IE is so full of holes...it's all garbage!
You need one computer for your valued files and one for the internet, with little on it except a browser and anti-virus/anti-spyware programs. _________________ Support HR-503 - End Horse Slaughter in America! |
