I got a couple of questions.

- What OS does the 'beta' run on
- What are the new features

Regards,

Brandon

Brandon,
I suggest emailing the provided address for further details, but it runs on Windows XP, 2K, Me and 98.

New features include improved removal capabilities, 4 new shields and many interface upgrades.

Is the HOSTS file too large error fixed in this upcoming version? I use the MSVP HOSTS file and Spysweeper can't monitor it due to it having about 2k entries.

Bah, I forgot to ask in my last post. Does installing this beta overwrite any previous install of Spysweeper, or does it install into it's own directory?

thejynxed,
Installing the Beta will overwrite previous versions.

The hosts file shield can handle larger hosts files than version 4.0 could, but there are still limits to the size of hosts file that it can support - this is due to the functionality of the shield - it not only protects the hosts file from unwanted additions but also protects against incorrect hosts entries such as those that redirect google searches or banking sites.
