It spreads by clicking a link and downloading an MS-DOS file, this virus opens conversations with ALL your contacts and sends them bad links. Anti-Spywares have difficulties to find them. This threat was identified as Trojan program Backdoor.Win32.IRCBot.avg By Kaspersky two days ago. This virus can also be removed by changing the MSN password.

I'm not familiar with this virus but none the less the last sentence doesn't sound like good advice. Changing a password will not remove anything. Changing the password may break the virus and prevent it from working properly. You need to actually remove the virus and afterwards change your password. Or maybe change your password if it will help with the removal and once removed change your password again.

Believe me, It really is gone after you remove messenger and then change your password. I've had it.

Yea, I noticed this in one of the lists the other day. It's just another IRC Sdbot variant...hardly news worthy.
