Interesting article from Business Week about Yahoo doing business with OEMTECH. OEMTECH are the people behind SpySpotter.

Eric Howes gets a quote along with a reference to SpywareWarrior and the Rogue list!

As well as Spy Spotter, the earlier variants "Internet Washer Pro" and "System Soap", which were both widely loaded through browser exploits thanks to their affiliate scheme.

Plus Httper and ZipClix bundled spyware. All in all a nasty piece of work, but then that's never stopped Yahoo-Overture has it?

Recently, Yahoo made up their way into the top 10 of the spammiest networks according to Spamhaus:

I don't know whether they can be proud of their ranking amongst spam havens like Verizon Business or SBC and their recent liason with spyware probably won't improve their reputation either.

just my 2¢,
Olliver

Such as Yambo Financials part of Alex Blood / Alexander Mosh / AlekseyB / Alex Polyakov and Leo Kuvayev / BadCow spamgangs, also joining in Bill Waggoner and Webfinity/Dynamic Pipe,

This means if you are on a yahoo group, you will be a target from these following spam gangs likely, including one of them tossing untrackable and unremoval Pump and Dump Spam.
